Awesome poetry, great flow, like early beat poetry

There was this guy here in town, we called him Baseball Guy, cause he'd stand outside the porn store, with a radio headset on, and he'd listen to the baseball games and throw imaginary pitches to the people walking by. And he carried these boards with him, each a differant size, shape and length...some of them had notches cut into them, but he never did anything with them in public.
I thought maybe he was building himself a house somewhere. :)

Thanks for the wiki links, and the compliments.

Admittedly I fantasied about sk8er culture just because of how they looked, youthful bodies, unafraid of appearances, flying through the air...I could easily imagine Walt Whitman following them around, writting Wisps of Air... haha!

But there's a comraderie between the various sk8er groups, an unbreakable bond, similar to the Spartan warriors. They trained together, learned from eachother, and often slept together. Which wasn't always sexual, it was an intimacy that went beyond lust and desire.
